February Favourites

What better way to start my blog than doing a February Favourites so all you beauties can see what I've bought and loved this month. I will admit that as well as being a beauty addict I am also a YouTube addict and I completely blame YouTube for all purchases made and for running my bank account dry, but let's face it shopping is fun and us ladies love a bit of beauty time!

So before I start rambling on about insignificant things I'll swing right into my Favourites this month....

1. Models Own Hyper Gel Nail Polish in Pink Veneer (Boots £5)
Ok, for whatever reason during February I suddenly decided that baby pink nails were gonna be my thang during Spring so when I saw that Models Own we're bringing out a gel range and one of the colours was pink it didn't take much persuading for me to go out and buy a bottle. And I haven't regretted it. The polish is a perfect shade of baby pink and is super glossy! It also looks great with a matte top coat. The one I used was Matte Finish by Rimmel London.

2. Emma Hardie Amazing Face Natural Lift and Sculpt Body Treatment (Feel Unique £36.80)
Basically a bloody lovely body scrub that smells like you should be in a spa rather than in your bathroom. It literally smells like heaven and makes your skin feel amazingly soft and moisturised. I'm not going to lie, I did not pay full price for this little gem (it costs the earth) I was lucky enough to find it in my local TKMaxx (hurrah!)

3. Emma Hardie Amazing Face Natural Lift and Sculpt Body Butter (Feel Unique £39.20)
Bought this after the success of the body scrub thinking it would smell the same. It was also a bargain in TKMaxx so again couldn't resist. Was a little disappointed to find that it smelled completely different but besides from that it's still a lovely creamy product to make your skin feel super soft. I usually use the two products together (not at the same time that would just be silly) and the results is silky smooth skin and your smelling good enough to eat!

4. L'Oreal Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution 200ml (Boots £4.99) and L'Oreal Absolute Make Up Remover Eyes and Lips (Boots £4.99)
I am going to admit another thing to you (I'm in the mood for sharing). I commit the worst sin in beauty - I use face wipes! They are quick and easy and prefect for a lazy gal like myself. However there comes a time in a woman's life where you realize you really should be taking extra care with your skin. So I have made a conscious decision to make more of an effort with my skin care routine. I had heard a lot about Bioderma however due to me living on a rock (Isle of Man - google it!) the chances of me finding it are slim. So I went for the cheaper L'Oreal version along with one of their eye make up removers (currently having a nightmare in removing mascara properly) and so far I like them both! I tend to use the solution in the mornings after I have used the Soap and Glory Peaches & Clean cleanser at night (review to follow).

5. Garnier Moisture Match Start Afresh Light Softening Cream (Boots £5.99)
Pretty much does what it says on the tin, well tube. I originally bought this during January as I was beginning to feel my skin becoming dry due to the lovely British winter air. I have normal to combination skin normally but this moisturizer sorted my dry bits out and doesn't make my other areas overly oily.

6. Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara (Boots £12.00)
Saw a few beauty gurus on YouTube using this and trust me girls (and boys) this is a god send! If your like me, you'll be used to getting mascara pretty much everywhere but your bottom lashes. This genius mascara minimises that risk as it's got the cutest tiniest brush you will ever see in your life! Love it!

7. Muji Acrylic Five Tier Storage Draws (www.muji.eu £24.95)
Again I saw these draws on many YouTubers videos including Lily Pebbles and I Covet Thee. Before I got a set of these my make- up collection was scattered everywhere. I have now cleared out all my old tat and have my make-up all stored neatly and can now actually see what I have. I am planning on doing a more indepth review on these draws later on.

8. IKEA Skukar Plant Pot in White (EBay £3.99)
Yes I keep my brushes in a plant pot. Sounds crazy I know but it works. I actually nicked the idea of another YouTuber called 'glitteralittle' because I thought it was genius and an ultra cheap way of storing your beloved brushes.

9. Pharell Williams - Happy
I know this is not beauty related in the slightest but I really wanted to include it in my monthly faves. It's a bloody brilliant song, and again it does what it says on the tin - makes you happy! I was lucky enough to visit Florida last year and met some of the characters in Despicable Me and the song reminds me of our trip.

10. Ben and Jerry's Core Blondie Brownie  Ice-Cream (Tesco £3.00)
Another non beauty favourite but who doesn't like ice-cream?! I was introduced to this by a friend (thanks Alina) and it's been a great partnership ever since. This tastes devine! I cannot describe how yummy this is so your just gonna have to go and buy a tub (or five) for yourself!

Thank you taking time to read my first blog post. Keep coming back for more reviews, obsessions and ramblings on everything beauty related (maybe with the odd Minion thrown in).

Muchos love, Leanne x
